The Orange County Capital Development Corporation (OCCDC) is an organization incorporated under the laws of New York State in August 2002. OCCDC is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Orange County Partnership, a public/private partnership established to promote economic development and job growth in Orange County. Our mission is to assist entrepreneurs through the process of developing and presenting their business plan to investors and to alert potential investors to opportunities existing in Orange County, New York.
We approach this mission in several ways. We provide administrative and financial support to the Orange County Angel Network, and we operate our own investment fund which we use to leverage investments made by the members of the Angel Network. In addition to these activities, we maintain relationships with approximately fifteen institutional investment organizations to which we can introduce entrepreneurs when appropriate.
Through this combination of services, we effectively serve both entrepreneurs and investors. We utilize the Angel Network to provide seed funding to start-up and early revenue companies allowing them to establish their operation and begin to generate revenue. Once they have demonstrated that they are viable, we introduce them to the institutional investor for next round funding.
By “Bridging the Gap” between entrepreneurs and investors, OCCDC plays a vital role in creating new industry and business expansion in Orange County, New York. |
